One skill point is required to increase a skill by one level. You may view your current number of unspent skill points in the Skill Window (Default UI Shortcut: K).

All characters start with 2 skill points and earn additional skill points at a rate of 1 per character level with a few exceptions listed below.

  • Level 10: When changing classes from a Temperion to your First class of choice, all previously spent or unspent skill points are lost and your skill points are set to 3.
  • Level 30: Upon completing the First Awakening quest to advance from level 29 to 30, you are granted an additional 2 skill points.
  • Level 50: When changing from your First class to your Advanced class of choice, you are granted an additional 4 skill points.
  • Level 60: Upon completing the Second Awakening quest to advance from level 59 to 60 you are granted an additional 2 skill points. (As of commercial release.)

Note: As of commercial release, the awakening quests are no longer needed, however, there is a job change quest when you pick your first job.
